Auto Works & Company is an auto body shop in Oakland, California. It is listed at 3900 Foothill Blvd, Oakland, CA 94601, which places it among the local businesses of Oakland that residents and visitors turn to when they need this kind of service close by.

Body shops repair collision damage, dents, rust and paint, and most work directly with insurance companies: you can choose any shop, not only the insurer's preferred one, and the shop will write a supplement if hidden damage turns up. Paintless dent repair fixes hail and door dings without repainting. Detailing shops clean and protect interiors and paint, from a basic wash-and-wax to ceramic coatings and paint protection film. Car washes range from self-service bays to express tunnels with monthly memberships. Upholstery shops repair seats, headliners and convertible tops, and restoration shops bring classic and collector cars back to original or custom condition.

Hours are published for 6 days a week. The most common schedule is 7:30 am–6 pm. Note that it does not open on Sunday. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. You can reach Auto Works & Company at (510) 842-8967; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions. Oakland is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. Getting around Oakland is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across California's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

We had to get some work done on our bumper and after searching a few spots we landed on Auto Works & Company. They had great customer service, gave their quote fast with a few options, and had the service done in about 24 hours after the part arrived. Their customer service is outstanding—even the small touches like everyone asking me if I wanted something to drink while I waited and providing a complementary ride home after I dropped off my vehicle. They also were very communicative after the part that was needed was delayed about a day (not necessarily in their control and they got it back on track after they followed up with the supplier). I appreciated this very much as they did their best to accommodate my schedule— they followed up with me frequently based on knowing I had limited time to adjust my work and childcare schedules. My car was ready before the weekend which was huge so we didn’t have to adjust weekend plans without a car. Overall, I felt supported, heard, and the work on the car was great! It was obvious they have a skilled team — part looked great, paint job looked great. I even think they cleaned my car mats. Thank you Auto Works & Company!

Incredibly kind and professional team. Throughout the entire process, Daniel, Ivan and the rest of the office staff expressed genuine care and showed great attention to detail. Somehow my car looked better than when I bought it brand new a couple of years ago. Highly recommend.

The team here was truly AMAZING! They were great with communication, very thorough on the process from beginning to start of the repairs of my WRX, until the very end. Although this was an insurance claim, they made this the easiest process ever. I was able to check my car physically in person at any given time, and continue with the happiness for Subaru certified repairs and parts! NOT to mention, I picked up my car very clean INSIDE & OUT ! Thank you for your amazing work. I will be returning to your site for any future issues.

A thief broke my window as I was at a red light in Oakland. With my baby in her carseat. Scariest thing ever, but thanks to Auto Works for the speedy work on my car to get me back on the road. Great customer service! Kept me informed during the entire process and worked hard to get me the best possible. Will definitely return whenever I need any work done on my car and recommend 10/10.

Wow.....awesome result! Daniel & Yudith and the team were absolutely fantastic in getting my vehicle back on the road with the required standards to ensure future safety. So pleased they were the Body Shop of my choice as they are fully certified and use the OEM parts in making things right again. Great communication and genuine care throughout the whole process especially when dealing with insurance companies, great attention to detail. Very happy, highly recommended 😁
